Sonoma County's Emergency Rental Assistance Program To Receive $13.8 Million In Additional State Funding
"The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors voted to authorize the Sonoma County Community Development Commission to accept up to $13,787,577.78 of State Block Grant funds from the California Department of Housing and Community Development. The funds will be used to provide additional relief to households unable to pay rent or utilities through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program."

Original ‘Scream’ house for rent on Airbnb just in time for Halloween

Airbnb has announced that the Marin County house from the 1996 horror movie 'Scream' will be available to rent for three one-night stays later this month for just $5. The company is offering the experience in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary, and in anticipation of the upcoming 2022 “Scream” installment. The Tomales home is available Oct. 27, Oct. 29 and Oct. 31, according to a news release."

Sonoma County joins other Bay Area jurisdictions in setting up benchmarks for lifting indoor mask mandate
"Indoor masking rules are likely to remain in effect in Sonoma County until the beginning of the new year under a series of COVID-19 benchmarks issued Thursday. The masking rules have been in effect since early August, the height of the deadly summer surge. Sonoma County and nine other Bay Area jurisdictions on Thursday set out a list of criteria that must be met before the indoor masking requirements are lifted. The benchmarks require a reduction in local transmission, a high vaccination rate and stable coronavirus hospitalization rates."
