"Officials are raising the prospect of a permanent water pipeline over the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge as a potential drought-fighting strategy for Marin County. 'We currently have less than a year of water supply, and that’s a perilous position for a water agency to be in,' said Ben Horenstein, the general manager of the Marin Municipal Water District."

Marin County extends pandemic freeze on tenant evictions
"Marin County has extended its eviction moratorium to Sept. 30 for residential tenants who owe back rent because of the pandemic, and several municipalities are following suit. The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to approve the action. The county is racing to distribute more than $17 million in state and federal rental assistance before a statewide emergency eviction freeze expires at the end of this month."

Sausalito considers purchasing wartime machine shop
"The federal government is preparing to sell off its World War II-era machine shop in Sausalito, and the city might call dibs on it. The City Council, meeting by teleconference on Tuesday, directed a committee to look into a environmental review of the site. City officials have questions about the cost of the building, its structural integrity and contamination at the property."
